Who We Are
Swing for Heart Health is a community-focused initiative that brings people together to support the mission of the Family Heart Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving the awareness, diagnosis, treatment, and care of individuals and families affected by familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and elevated lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]. The program is built on a simple belief: early awareness saves lives. By educating communities about inherited cardiovascular conditions and the importance of screening, we can help prevent premature heart disease and empower individuals to take charge of their heart health.
Through its annual charity golf tournament and community partnerships, Swing for Heart Health raises funds to advance education, patient advocacy, research, and outreach efforts that support individuals and families living with FH and elevated Lp(a). The tournament also serves as a platform to increase public understanding of these often underdiagnosed inherited conditions and the importance of early detection and family-based screening.
Our mission is to inspire action through education, strengthen communities through advocacy, and support initiatives that improve access to life-saving care. By partnering with the Family Heart Foundation, Swing for Heart Health is helping build a future where inherited cardiovascular disease is recognized earlier, treated more effectively, and no family faces these conditions without the knowledge, resources, and support they need.
Swing for Heart Health exists to unite communities around a common purpose: reducing the burden of inherited heart disease through awareness, education, early detection, and improved care—creating healthier futures for generations to come.
