Swing for Heart Health is a community driven golf event sponsored by Moonflower Sustainability Institute Inc. with a clear purpose: bringing heart health education into schools and youth programs.

This event supports the creation and delivery of educational programs that help students understand how their hearts work, why daily choices matter, and how habits formed early shape health across a lifetime. Through collaboration with schools in the Houston area and beyond, Swing for Heart Health treats heart health as a foundational life skill, not a lesson reserved for adulthood.

Join us on the course as we invest in education, prevention, and healthier futures for young people.

HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE
WHY THIS MATTERS

Many of the habits that influence lifelong heart health are established during childhood and adolescence. Yet few students receive clear, age appropriate education about how daily routines affect their long term wellbeing. Swing for Heart Health focuses on prevention through knowledge. By introducing heart health early, students learn how food, movement, rest, and emotional balance work together to support a healthy heart. These lessons give young people tools they can use immediately and revisit throughout their lives.

Education empowers students to make informed choices, build confidence in caring for their bodies, and understand health as something they can actively shape.

TOURNAMENT MISSION

Programs supported by Swing for Heart Health are designed for students from kindergarten through grade twelve and adapted to meet schools where they are.

Younger students are introduced to how the heart works, why movement matters, and how healthy foods support growing bodies.

Middle school students build awareness of habits, emotions, and stress while learning practical ways to stay active and energized.

High school students explore cardiovascular health more deeply, gaining knowledge that prepares them to take responsibility for their wellbeing as they move toward adulthood.

Programs are developed in collaboration with educators to align with classroom needs and schedules. The goal is learning that feels relevant, practical, and empowering for students and teachers alike.
